From the moment we knew our boys existed we have prayed for their salvation. It is our ultimate desire as parents to see our children come to know Christ and live their lives for Him. We've been talking to Brayden about becoming a Christian for a long time and we knew God was working in His heart. He would ask us some pretty deep questions out of the blue. We could tell this was something he was thinking about on his own. The night of Landen's birthday, January 24th, we watched Courageous. If you've seen the movie you know how motivating it is for parents. After the movie and before we put Brayden to bed we talked about the movie and went over again how to be saved. Luke asked him if he wanted to be saved and he said yes! We knelt by our bed and listened to the most beautiful prayer a parent can hear! We are so proud of him and so thankful for his salvation. With young children it is very difficult to know for sure that the child understands salvation. We took our time with making it public as we continued talking to him and praying for wisdom. We wanted to be sure he was serious. We have seen many evidences that God has worked in his heart and is continuing to work in his heart! Praise the Lord! After a few weeks, he went before the church and announced that he had been saved and then he let family know! There is no greater joy than the salvation of your child! Please pray for his spiritual growth. It is our prayer and desire to see our boys be used of God! We can't wait to see what God has in store for Brayden and Landen should He tarry His coming!
