Last week was a little crazy! Last Tuesday, Landen had to have a dental procedure that required him to be put to sleep for. We had to be at the hospital at 5:30am!! It took almost an hour to get there so needless to say it was a very short night! Thankfully, the procedure went as planned. As you can imagine the rest of the day was very difficult for Landen. He was pretty miserable after waking up from anesthesia. Since they were working in his mouth he had to have a breathing tube put through his nose. So he woke up with a bloody nose, which is normal. He was very fussy when he woke up and his breathing sounded awful!! They assured me that that was completely normal. After being observed for a little while we were finally able to take him home. The rest of the day he either was sleeping or crying! He was so pitiful! :-( But around 4:30 he was a completely different child! He started playing and talking and wanted to eat! We were so relieved to see his normal self returning!! The rest of the night was fairly normal until around 4:30am! He woke me up crying and asking for something to drink. Right away I noticed he wasn't breathing right and it sounded awful. I got him something to drink and gave him his inhaler. That seemed to help and he settled down and went back to sleep. A little after 7 though he woke up and the same thing happened again. This time the inhaler didn't help and his breathing sounded worse. Luke was actually on the way to the hospital to pray with someone so he ended up taking Landen to the ER instead. Thankfully, they weren't busy and were able to get Landen right back! They explained that it appeared Landen had had a reaction to the breathing tube and his airways had become swollen. They gave him a treatment of epinephrine and x-rayed his neck to check on how swollen his airways were. They said if the treatment didn't help they would need to hospitalize him. The x-rays confirmed the swollen airways but they said the treatment should take care of it. Thankfully, the treatment did help and he was able to come home. He acted fine but had to take it easy. Anytime he would talk or was active his breathing started to sound bad again but as he rested it would subside. We just tried to get him to rest as much as possible! By Thursday morning he had improved a lot!! He wasn't 100% better but definitely some better! He was glad too because he and Brayden had a previously planned trip to PaPaw's and Nana's!! PaPaw and Nana had planned a fun weekend for them and two other cousins. He was very excited to go! They had a great time!!
Landen got a "Feel Better" letter in the mail from a friend at church :-)
On Sunday we had a big day at church! We called it Hero Sunday and recognized all emergency personnel and military. After the service we had a hot dog lunch and fun things for the kids and families to do! We had an inflatable basketball goal, a bounce house, snow cones, corn hole boards, fire trucks, ambulances, a smoke house, a police car and a K-9 unit with a live demonstration. I hated the boys missed it but you can't compete with a visit with grandparents! LOL! Hopefully they will be able to enjoy it next time! It was nice to have Luke's sister and her family come though! We were glad they could join us!
Hannah Grace enjoyed it as much as possible but it was nap time! ;-)
On Monday we celebrated Lacey-Grace's first birthday! It was so nice to have a day off with family and enjoy the celebration!
Now we're just getting back in the swing of things and hopefully will have a "normal" couple of weeks, whatever "normal" is! LOL! I apologize for the lack of pictures! I need to try to take more pictures. I always seem to have my hands full and think about it after the fact! :-/

She played in the Chick-fil-A play land for the first time! :-)
