Beware of flying fan blades!

We had the craziest thing happen to us one night earlier this week. We had JUST fallen asleep good when we heard a very loud noise next to the bed. We looked down and to our surprise there was a ceiling fan blade on the floor right next to our bed! What in the world?!?! We were completely shocked and then realized how dangerous that could've been. Luke turned off the fan so there wouldn't be anymore flying fan blades! The next morning we noticed the wall above our bed had a good gash in it. We were so thankful it didn't hit us or we could've seriously been injured! Can you imagine waking up after being knocked out by a ceiling fan blade?!?! It's quite humorous to think about but wouldn't have been if it happened!! Here's a pic of where it broke. Crazy, huh?
