A visit to Morehead City!

Life has been a little crazy lately! I'm not really sure if we've recovered from vacation! LOL! Luke's work schedule has been different because their store is closed for a remodel. He had to go work at the Morehead City store last week for a few days. Thankfully, we have family there so the boys and I could go and we got to visit family! Landen has had a bad cough for a few weeks but before we left for Morehead he started getting worse and was running fevers so we took him to the doctor. We found out he had bronchitis possibly turning into pneumonia. We were glad we took him. The doctor gave him a prescription for zithromax. After a few days he wasn't running a fever anymore but was still coughing. We're hoping he feels completely better soon and we're glad he is a little better! It definitely isn't slowing him down much! While in Morehead the boys enjoyed swimming and playing in Papa and Nannie's backyard! We also did a little shopping and watched a lot of Duggar's and Andy Griffith! :-)

We also got to visit Grandmama and Granddaddy and had a great time with them! Caroline also took some family pictures for us! We've been trying to do family pictures for a while but have had a hard time working it out! I was really hoping some pictures on the beach would work but when we went out there it was windy!! Not just a breeze but more like hurricane winds!! Thankfully, she was creative and got a few good ones! Here is a sneak peak! ;-)

We had an interesting issue while were were in Morehead. We went to Dairy Queen for some ice cream and let the boys play in the playland. Two other children joined the boys and they began playing together. As we were sitting there watching them we heard another child calling Landen "tiny head" over and over. Luke and I were both shocked and upset. As we were wondering how to handle it we heard Brayden politely say "It's not nice to call names. Don't call him that. His name is Landen, call him Landen." I cannot describe the feelings we were experiencing but obviously we were so proud of Brayden for standing up for his brother like that! If you know Landen you know he certainly is not intimidated by anyone or anything. He takes up for himself fairly well. However, in this case he hopefully didn't fully understand what was taking place. I'm so thankful big brother came to the rescue! I often wonder how Brayden really feels about all the attention Landen gets. We've never noticed it affecting Brayden in a negative way though and he doesn't really say much about it. If anything he is always eager to share Landen's Story and explain to those that are curious why Landen is so little. We know God has given Brayden a special calling as well and he is the best big brother Landen could possibly have!!
