Vacation Day 4: Tuesday July 2, 2013

We began the day in workshops beginning at 10 with presentations by Dr. Bober, Dr. Jackson and Dr. Riedy. It was so nice to see our doctors from Delaware. We also got to meet Dr. Jackson. If you remember we've had DNA research done in Scotland....he is the doctor behind all of that!

After the presentations we were all starving so we went to the closest place for lunch....McDonald's. While we were there we met another PD, 6 year old Michelle! She is from Guatemala and her caregivers are missionaries.

After lunch we rode the Metro to the National Mall. The Metro was quite an experience but the kids loved it!! We toured the Capitol and then went to supper at "My Brother's Place" where we had an interesting experience we'll never forget! ;-)

Then we walked to the White House! By then we were exhausted!! My mama was wearing a pedometer and figured up that we had walked 10 miles!! We decided to call it a night but before we got on the Metro we stopped for frozen yogurt!
