Transplant - Day Eight

Landen was really tired today. The nurse started chemo through his line around 9:20 this morning and it took about 30 minutes to pump into him. He spent the first part of the day in bed watching movies and snacking. The nurse had the idea to give Spikes (Landen's meerkat) a picc line just like Landen's. Landen loved that idea so a little while later the child life specialist came in and helped Landen put in Spike's picc line.

I don't think Landen being tired is a result of the chemo...he's just worn out! The major side effect of the chemo is nausea. He was given a medicine to prevent nausea and it has worked! Thankfully, Landen has not felt sick today!! Thank the Lord! Sometime after lunch Landen finally got down to play. He loves playing doctor. He is learning so much and taking it all in. The nurses have been so kind and have given him all kind of stuff to play with! Brayden and Spikes were the patients today! Landen said Brayden wasn't being quiet so he had to tape his mouth shut! LOL!!

One of the nurses surprised Landen with some of his favorites today....Cheez It's and Cow Tales!

We enjoyed having Brayden here today. Nani came a little after lunch time and visited for a while and then they left to go home. Landen was really sad to see him go and is missing him tonight. Hopefully he can come back soon! After Brayden left, Landen curled up on the couch and watched movies.

Landen's weight is good. His potassium is low so they did add potassium to his IV fluids. His blood work looked good again today! We are thanking and praising the Lord that Landen is doing so well!! Please join us in praying that things continue to go great! Thank you so much!!
