Transplant - Day Five

Wow! It's hard to believe we've been here five days already! The time is passing quickly for now. :-) Last night was pretty good. Landen had a difficult time taking his medicine at 2:30am but that was the worse part. It has been a great day! Landen has cooperated and been in good spirits all day! I think it helps that he's getting used to things, he knows more of what to expect, and he's getting to know the nurses. He has ate better today and played quite a bit! His lab work is steady and he does not need any transfusions right now. He has still dealt with high blood pressure and a random rash but these are typical side effects and are being treated so they are under control. We certainly missed our Highland Drive Church family today but we are so glad we could tune in to the service this morning through Facebook Live. Luke and I are exhausted but thankfully we are able to find times to rest. Every nurse, every doctor, and every employee on this floor have been wonderful!! We are so grateful for the excellent care Landen is receiving!

Words cannot express how thankful we are for all of the love, support, and prayers that have been expressed to us. It means so much to know so many people care. We are praising and thanking the Lord for how well things are going so far. The Lord truly is our Rock, our Refuge, and our Strength! Tomorrow is an exciting day because it is his last shot and the end of round one! Yay!!
