Transplant - Day Four

It was a busy but good night last night! His shower and dressing change was rough but he did well. He's still really sore from his procedure and he doesn't like the tape they have to use but who does?! The blood transfusion went great and it was a good night despite the nurse having to check Landen's vital signs every hour for 4 hours.

This morning was the best so far! The last two mornings have been rough because he would fight taking the Tylenol and the shot but today you would never know it! He didn't fight either at all and took it like a champ! His blood pressure ran a little high through the night and today. They said it's likely because of the steroids he's taking. He also had a little bit of a rash today that would come and go but he said it didn't bother him. They are treating the high blood pressure and the rash and keeping an eye on them but they said it's normal side effects. The results of the blood cultures are negative so far! After the doctors evaluation she said he had a little bit of thrush beginning in his mouth so they are treating that as well.

We had some really special visitors today! Nani got to bring Brayden and Hannah Grace. We were all so happy to see each other and it was nice to be together even if it was just for a little while.

 

 

 

PaPaw got to visit today too and today is his birthday so it was extra special to be able to be together. Nana, Heather, and Lois were here too and tonight Mr. Cole and Cameron came by.

 

 

Landen played more today and felt good. However, he did not eat as much today but we are so thankful for another good day!
