Besides an upset stomach Landen had another good day. He stayed in bed more today and took it easy. He had a few moments today when he said he didn't feel good but he couldn't say what was wrong and then other moments he said he felt good. So, I don't think he felt great but he hasn't felt terrible either. We met Dr. Kaplan today. He seems like a great doctor. We really liked him! He said Landen's bloodwork is looking good. He does not need any transfusions right now. His white blood count is dropping as it should be. Yesterday it was at 2.2 and today it is at 1.5. The doctor said his liver function and kidney function looks good as well! We are so overwhelmed with gratefulness for how well things are going. We are getting a little more anxious as the transplant gets closer and closer. We're expecting things to change somewhat but we don't really know how yet. Please pray for us this coming week. As I mentioned, Landen's white blood count and neutrophil count has started dropping. By early next week his current immune system could be depleted. This is what has to happen for him to receive the new cells from his donor.
Landen enjoyed visits from family and friends today! Bro. Brian and his wife Cindy came by. This couple is a close family friend and Bro Brian is a pastor.
PaPaw and Nana, Lois, Nani and Papa, and Brayden and Hannah Grace were here today!
Life is so much better with family and friends, especially in the hospital! Thank you all for all of the prayers and encouragement!!
