Transplant - Day Ten

Landen had a great day today! We are so glad and thankful that he is feeling good and doing so well! After his chemo this morning his rash started to come back but it wasn't as bad so they decided to just watch it and not treat it. They checked it several times but it never got worse and it went away. Landen had the dressing on his Hickman lines changed today and it went really well! As you know Landen has been playing doctor. Well, today it became official when he got a name badge. He requested for it to say, "Dr. Johnson, M.D." LOL!! The child life specialist made it happen and he was so excited!!

Landen had a lot of visitors today! Mr. Edward O'Neal surprised us today! He drove two hours one way just to visit Landen. He was a church member at the church my Dad pastored when I was very young. So I had not seen him in over 20 years and he had never met Luke or Landen. It meant so much to us and we really enjoyed his visit.

Our next visitors were Mr. Sonny Thomas and his wife Julie. Bro. Sonny is a pastor and also our F.W. B. State Moderator. They drove a good distance as well. It was so nice to see them and we appreciate their support!

Kyle and Miranda from church came and they brought Landen supper from Taco Bell. He chowed down and enjoyed every bite! :-)

Mr. Butch from church also came and he surprised Landen with Bible Man goodies...DVD's and a sword! Landen was so excited! He loves Bible Man!

We appreciate all the love and support! It means so much to know so many people care but then to see it in action is so touching!!

Landen had a new nurse today. Jessica was wonderful!

The transplant is one week from today! It's crazy to think that we're this close! The BMT team says Landen is doing great and they have no complaints! We don't either and we are just so thankful! We know that Landen is doing so well because people are praying for him and words can't explain just how much that means to us! We are so grateful!
