Transplant - Day Fifty-two (+35) - Day Fifty-six (+39)

Landen has been doing pretty good! Things have been really busy lately as we try to figure out "normal" for now. Clinic went well on Friday and on Monday. Things are about the same. We are expecting an update on the viruses soon. Yesterday, the doctor asked about Landen's pain while using the bathroom because they are seeing more blood in his urine. Thankfully, Landen hasn't had any pain in more than a week so we were a little surprised but we have seen blood off and on too. The doctor feels Landen is in more pain than he is telling us so they gave him some medicine to help relax his bladder. They are continuing fluids for now and will reevaluate the need for fluids next week. Landen had two really good evenings on Wednesday and Thursday but he must have worn himself out because he was very tired over the weekend. He's still struggling with heartburn so they are changing his prescription to something else. Hopefully this new prescription will work better.

Nana and Lois arrived Friday. They had offered to come for the weekend and give us a break. We are so thankful for their help! While it is hard to leave, it is needed and helpful! They all had a great time and they did a great job taking care of Landen! It was nice to be at home for a little while, but it was also hard. It makes me realize how much I miss being there but we want what is best for Landen. Luke came back to the RMH on Sunday afternoon and I came back with the kids late yesterday afternoon. I stayed in Lincolnton to take care of a few things. Landen was really emotional on Sunday. We can't imagine what he is thinking and how he is feeling. He has been so strong through all of this. It truly is amazing and an answer to prayer.  He has had his moments though, just like we do. However, he usually works through it fairly quickly. It's also amazing how much motivation Brayden and Hannah Grace give Landen. He is much more active when they are here. We are glad to be back together again and hope to stay together as much as possible! God is so good and I'm so thankful for all He has done for us!
