No Coincidence!

Over the summer Luke came home from work one day and told me about a customer that came through drive-thru that day with a tire that looked extremely low. They made the lady aware of it and then asked her to pull to the side of their parking lot and told her they would gladly change the tire for her! Just one of the ways Chick-fil-A shows second mile service! She was shocked but very grateful. I don't think she had even noticed but they were not comfortable with her leaving with a tire like that. It was too dangerous! So, Luke and a couple of other guys went out and changed her tire.

Well, today we went to eat our favorite meal, Japanese. And you never know who will be sitting with you! Well, this nice family came in and was seated at our table. It was near the end of the meal that we started talking and realized this lady was the same lady Luke had helped change her tire. Her and her husband expressed their sincere appreciation and we all got to know one another a little bit and just kept talking. Well, when it came time for the bill to be paid the waiter whispered to Luke that the man had paid for our meal! That was a real blessing to us! We feel certain through our conversation that they were Christians. It's just amazing to see how God works amongst His people. We didn't know who would be sitting with us at lunch today but God knew and had us all there at the same table at the same time for a reason! It was not coincidence! It also was a reminder that God always rewards and takes care of His children. I really believe this was a blessing to us today because Luke had the opportunity to be a blessing to them earlier this summer. However, we should not seek to be a blessing just so we can receive a blessing! I remember Luke telling me about being able to help this lady and it brought Luke and I so much joy to see how God gives us opportunities to serve others. May we always be looking for those people God puts in our path!
