On Thursday night, March 21st Chick-fil-A hosted a benefit night for the Potentials Foundation. The mission of the Potentials Foundation is "to enrich the lives of individuals with types of primordial dwarfism by facilitating and organizing opportunities for families to meet, providing information relating to known health concerns and specialty care, and furthering research efforts." We joined the Potentials Foundation shortly after Landen was diagnosed with PD. Although we are new members we are so thankful for this organization. We wanted to do our part in raising money and awareness for the Potentials Foundation. The leaders at Chick-fil-A had been wanting to do something and when Luke gave them this idea they jumped on it! A lot of hard work and time was put into this event and we are so grateful!! It was a huge blessing to us to have a lot of our family and friends support the event. Our church even had a bus full to attend! A percentage of all dinner sales from 5-8 was directly donated to the Potentials Foundation along with donations and money raised from a silent auction which included items donated from Lowes, Anfesa's Jewelers, Buffaloe lanes, Chick-fil-A, Belk, Halmark and Jewelry Unlimited. It was a cold day but there was also a bounce house, games, entertainment and Mimi the clown! She did the lovely face painting you will see in the photos as well as balloons for the kids! It was a lot of fun. We were very pleased with how everything went and raised approximately $2200!! The possibility of making this an annual event has been mentioned so we'll see! We are so thankful to have such wonderful family and friends in our life! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the event. It means so much to us!
