Transplant - Day Thirty-four (+17)

Landen had a rough night last night! He did get sick one time after taking his medicine. He also was up about every hour last night with diarrhea. He had a great nurse though helping take care of him. Luke and I are taking turns at night with helping Landen and last night was Luke's night so he had a rough night too. :-(

Landen has had a really great day and we are so thankful! It is so encouraging for us!! He has felt good, eaten well, and did great taking his medicine! We are so proud of him! The BMT team is very happy with his progress. The doctor said his blood work looks beautiful and things are moving along as they should be. He feels like the diarrhea is just from everything he has been through. It has improved some and they did run some test just to be sure nothing else is going on. His platelets are just over 100,000 today on their own! We don't think they've ever been that high before. His hemoglobin also continues to rise on its own, so no transfusions have been needed lately. Landen got another breathing treatment today. This is the medicine that helps prevent pneumonia. The doctor said the July 3rd discharge date is more than reasonable and the hope is that it will be earlier but we will see. We won't get our hopes up, but we will be so excited if it works out! Thank you Lord for a good day!
