Transplant - Day Thirty-one (+14)

It's been a busy but good day! We did find out that Landen has two very common stomach infections. This means he needs more medicine, however, it should not be a setback or a delay in his discharge. It really felt like today was another step toward getting out of the hospital as several medicines were changed to be taken orally and we were shown how to do a dressing change just in case we need to do one. Landen does not like to take medicine so that was our biggest battle today! His bloodwork continues to improve. He did not need any transfusions today and his hemoglobin came up just a little. Landen was very tired today but felt good for the most part. He was not as nauseous today. He ate and drank well today but it is definitely baby steps. We are so thankful for his progress! Please pray that these infections will clear up quickly, that Landen will continue to eat and drink, and that he will have an easier time taking his medicine! Thank you for your prayers!!
