Transplant - Day Forty-five (+28)

We had a great first night and first day out of the hospital! We had to be at clinic at 8:00 this morning and we started his fluids at 7:30 so no sleeping in today. Thankfully, starting his IV fluids went great. It is really easy. It is so nice to be so close to the hospital...it helps a lot! We will be in clinic three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Each visit will take at least 4 hours due to the treatment Landen still needs for the viruses. Today he needed blood so it took 6 hours. We got there just before 8 and left just before 2. Dr. Roehrs said Landen looked good and his blood work looked good too. He also told us that the last test on the cells showed all donor cells again!! We are so glad about that! It was so good to see Sam and Mandy again! They are the clinic nurses and they are great too! It is a big adjustment getting used to life outside of the hospital but it is a welcome adjustment!
